It’s festival season and time to go out in the evenings with friends. Keep your head and eyes more protected with this Slipknot cap.
Nine members. Yes you read that right NINE. All numbered zero to eight, all with their own mask but all in a uniform style outfit (usually boiler suits). Fronted by Corey Taylor, a loud, gnarly vocalist who can also sing like a gruff angel. Backed by a monster of men Jim Root and Mick Thompson on guitars, Shawn Crahan, a baseball bat wielding clown as percussionist, Sid Wilson DJ with a haunting gas mask. Past members include the incredible tiny Joey Jordison who was known to play his kit upside down, Chris Fehn, a long nosed percussionist and the late great Paul Grey on bass who sadly passed away in 2010.
Their controversial career has been strong standing since 1995. Massive songs include Duality, Wait and Bleed and Psychosocial. They got lumped under the Nu Metal label along with bands like Deftones, KoRn and Rammstein. Also controversial is their look, 9 angry men in masks which have slight changes album to album. Many were able to keep their identities hidden for a long time but slowly got unmasked. This includes Taylor and Root when they started their side band Stone Sour who have toured with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold.
