Lost Boys is one of the biggest 80’s classics of the vampire genre. It shares notoriety with films like The Crow and even shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
It was released in the summer of 1987 starring Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman and Jami Gertz. The story goes Michael and his younger brother move in with their grandfather with their recently divorced mother. Michael falls for a girl named Star and a whole new world is uncovered in their new Californian home town.
Full of dark secrets, teenage angst and vampire goings on this film accumulated quite a cult following even to this day 30+ years later. The title track “Cry Little Sister” by Gerard McMann is also a classic tune. So much so, it has been covered by many artists over the years including artists as big as Marilyn Manson. With a similar vocal style this was a natural cover for the singer.
